We have a temple!

In the past, we've had to drive at least 2 hours to get to the temple. Now, I'm not complaining about that. I realize that MANY people live much farther than that from a temple. Our temple district has actually been the Logan Temple...a good 2 hours from Burley. We also have the Boise, Idaho Falls, Rexburg, and Ogden Temples within a 2 1/2 hour drive radius! Lucky, I know, but guess what!? We now have the Twin Falls Temple 35 minutes away! Yippee!

Well, the great news...ANYONE can go inside the temple right now. Anyone! The public Open House just started and continues until August 16. Then we'll have the huge Youth Celebration with 14 stakes of youth and the Dedication on the 23rd and 24th of August. So exciting! Briana has been practicing with our Stake and is dancing in the Youth Celebration! President Monson will be there! So much excitement going on around here! So, if any of you are in the area during the next month, take some time to go to the Twin Falls Temple Open House (and then I'll feed you lunch or something!).

Oh, and lucky me, I will be "hosting" in the hosting center following the Open House tours on July 22nd so come and see the temple, see me, and have a cookie!

The girls and I went to Twin Falls last week to go school clothes shopping and we stopped by the temple to take a few quick pictures. We're so excited for a temple!

That is so exciting! I think we really take for granted the fact that there's 5 temples within 1/2 an hour of my house and 2 more that are almost finished being built (Draper and Daybreak in South Jordan). That is so cool that you guys are involved with a lot. My kids can't wait to go inside the Daybreak temple for the Open House!

Love ya!

I am so excited for you!! It is so nice that you have a temple so close. Our temple is close also. The only problem is with traffic it can take anywhere from 20 minutes to 2 or 3 hours. The traffic in Manila is crazy. When you go on outings you basically have to have no other plans that day. I am happy for you guys!

Yeah!! I can't wait for the open house of our temple--it is ours. We've given permission for our kids to say it is their temple.
So I guess I can say it too.

Looks beautiful!

Its like the song:I want see the temple.
The kids always wanted to drive pass it when we can.
We can't wait for the news by our house(Draper& Daybreak in South Jordan).
My son always says when we go there."Can I get a toy temple with people to play with".

That's very exciting. What a lovely temple! I love to see all the new temples coming up all over the place! Our closest temple is the London temple and takes about 1.5 hours to get to. I guess it could be worse!

I haven't answered your questions that you left on my blog....
Miles and I are not sure how long we will be in England for. Anytime between 5 years to forever! We are living here because Miles has a job here working as an Engineer/Aerodynamacist for Williams Formula One (a race car team). He loves it!

Oh how exciting! I'm so glad you will have a temple closer! It is crazy how much I take the temple for granted... I have the Ogden temple 5 minutes away and I haven't been since before Lexi was born! Shame on me!

You know what came to mind when I saw these pics? "Fresh and New! Fresh and New!"... That's my favorite Karmen-statement! This is wonderful & beautiful & you are so lucky! The Logan Templle is our Temple, too! How funny! You and I live 2.5 hours away from each other yet both of us are supposed to go to it...
You are so blessed!

Oh! I wish this month wasn't so busy! I'd love to come up and see it! I really love Idaho. Our temple is Manti which is around a three hour drive. The Provo and Timpanogos are about an hour closer, but we are in the Manti district. I'm sort of glad because Mant is so nice.

That new temple is beautiful, and how neat that President Monson will be hanging around! Lucky you guys! What a special time for you!

Hurray! It is so neat to be involved with a new temple. I think it's exciting for the whole community. We were 2 hours from the Oakland Temple when we lived in CA, and then they built the Sac. temple and we moved right before the open house. :( We were very sad, but glad to be a part of anything leading up to it.
And now we live 15 min from 3 temples, so I can't complain!

Hmmm, I still haven't commented on this yet? I thought I did for sure! Anyway, we LOVED being near the Rexburg Temple as it was being built, but we were SO sad to move right before it was finished. A lot of our college friends got to be hosts and hostesses and walk people through it, and I wish so badly I could've been a part of all that, too. I'm happy that you get to be - it's a once-in-a-lifetime experience!

It is a Beautiful Temple and how exciting for you to be so close! You have such a cute family! Oh...by the way, on your comment on my little girls name Kamryn, my aunt Marsha called her Karmen alot when she was a baby, by mistake. Kinda funny!
